The installer came out and was polite and early. His manager showed up and seemed to rush him through everything. When setting up sensor they mis keyed motion sensor as door sensor which I caught later and had to have adt phone support fix. Then 24 hours later a window sensor fell off window. I reinstalled it and it functions as should now. When I paid for equipment I gave him credit card and I specified I wanted the monthly billing going to different card. He had both cards and whether he didn't enter is right or just didn't care it all ended up on one card. Low and behold a month later I have a hard pull showing up on my credit report. So now I have involved equifax credit bureau and have contacted defender security directly who was supposed to review things and get back to me in 24-48 via phone call and send letter via usps. After 5 days I had to call back to find out that they sent a letter and the person I was speaking to couldn't help me any further.

Horrendous!  I would give ZERO stars if I could.  ADT failed to do the one thing they were supposed to do!!!  ADT sold me on safety and piece of mind yet ADT failed to properly setup the automation and alert settings on my ADT pulse.  Today we were burglarized and because of ADT's egregious FAILURE, our cameras did not record the incident and we could not show any footage to the police officer.  The burglar just walked away completely off the hook, even with us having 3 cameras plus a RING doorbell/cam.  ADT YOU FAILED TO PROTECT OUR HOME!!!!
I’ve called ADT for service or explaination of certain items, can say that I was pleased with the rep or the reasoning for why the issue is what it is but I have to be opened minded to quidelines and policies of a structured company. We give the rep a hard time because we want stella service be “customer is always right” but we can be horrible consumers then the rep rebuttal is on the deffensive so we will not meet that common ground.

Adt has the worse customer service in the world!!!! Horrible horrible experience with them DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR MONEY WHEN ITS TIME TO REFUND IT YOU WILL NEVER GET IT BACK THEY JUST KEEP ON TRANSFERRING YOU TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND PUT YOU ON HOLD AND EVERYTIME YOU’RE ON HOLD ANOTHER PERSON PICKS UP AND YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN I AM A CUSTOMER BUT I REGRET IT BECAUSE THEY DON’T TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE ON A 2-3 year contarct with them . The system itself it good but the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST OF THE WORST!!!!!!!!

If you do provide your address to the receptionist, the sales consultant will work to put together a security package and schedule a technician’s on-site visit. During this walk-through, the technician will provide recommendations on ways to improve your security solution with additional features. I have had ADT service for 5 years. This is after my cabin had a break in. The only problem I have had is the door sensor fell off and I was able to repair this myself. I can arm and disarm the equipment remotely by cellphone. When the alarm went off one time they were very responsive. Customer service advised me how to replace the battery in the key fob. My only complaint is I was given a discount for paying for multiple years in advance and this was not offered in future years. I requested additional yard signs and these were provided at no additional charge. I am satisfied with their service.
The ADT Essentials plan for basic digital monitoring service has a limited lifetime warranty on parts and labor, something that other competitors do not offer. If you want additional protection, the Essentials Plus package includes 2-way voice monitoring. Like all plans, this one includes monitoring for police, fire, and medical emergencies. 5 years ago my next door neighbors were robbed. I’m not sure what they took but what we knew was that there house had been watched for days by this guy. None of us in the neighborhood felt safe. We got ADT right after that & haven’t regretted it since! We’ve never had a REAL incident but my uncle had come over once late after a night out. As soon as the alarm went off so did the phone. ADT was quick to respond. We all sleep better with ADT!
As a new home owner, I made the mistake of letting myself get talked into buying a home security system by an ADT sales representative who came to my door. I am writing this review in the hope of preventing others from making the same mistake I did. The contract I now find myself in and the monthly payments I will need to make for three years is completely my own fault for making a poor decision as a consumer. I have found my ADT service to be over priced and unnecessary. My advice for new home owners: When an ADT sales representative comes to your house, don’t worry yourself over talk of bumper keys and burglaries, different contract options, and taking advantage of the new home owner “deal” before it is too late — simply don’t answer the door.
Again, all of the issues that we encountered in the first few months were frustrating, but taken individually (or even collectively), these issues wouldn’t necessarily compel me to persuade consumers to NOT use ADT since most of the technicians and customer service agents which whom I interacted generally appeared to have good intentions to help customers and to provide good customer service.

THE LIGHT CAME ON UP BY THE GARAGE THAT MY HUSBANDS BUSINESS WAS IN EARLY MORNING STILL DARK OUT I KNEW SOMETHING WASN’T RIGHT I RAN UP TO SEE AND SURE ENOUGH ,A KID WAS TRYING TO GET INTO OUR BUSINESS HE SAW ME AND GOT ANGRY AND BECAME VERY VIOLENT TOWARDS BE FORTUNATELY IT HAD SET OF AN ALARM TO OUR LOCAL COPS AND THEY WERE ON THERE WAY SO I TOLD HIM THAT AND HE TOOK OFF REALLY QUICK LEAVING ME ALONE NO LONGER HASSLING ME. THE LOCAL POLICE CAUGHT UP WITH HIM SHORTLY AFTER, AND HE WAS TAKEN TO JAIL. HE HAD A WARRANT OUT FOR AN ASSAULT TO A WOMEN IN WHICH SHE WAS 9 MTHS PREGNANT. HE HAD REALLY HURT HER BAD. I THANK MY LUCKY STARS EVERYDAY FOR OUR ADT 🙂
2 months ago my truck was broken into my wallet swollen and my bank account drained. I will never forget the following day at work, the whole day I was worried about the thieves having my driver's license and knowing my address. I didn't have a security system and feared they would return and rob my home as well and with 3 children at home in couldn't help but to be frightened and worried. As my day at work was coming to an end,all I could do was pray for some way to protect my family. I was home for 2 hrs when there was a knock at the door. It was ADT! They explained how they were in the area selling systems and could choose 2 homes for a special promotion. I like having my home and family secured now. I would recommend them to everyone and give them 5 stars.
