Use to have the system at my other house. A few times I forgot the code or put it in wrong and I received a phone call. If you give them a secret code then they will call off the police for you. May be they should have 2 secret codes one for when you are in danger (like maybe if there is a person standing beside you with a gun forcing you give the correct code) and one for when you are not in danger.

Many times agreed to vist me, let’s say Wednesday morning so I decided to stay and wait just to receive a call that afternoon to reschedule. Can you believe it? Not even explaining/apologizing first. Sensors falling and activating the alarm causing the cops to come to finally find out that the sensor simply fall from the double face tape it was holding it. Yes, double face tape. Also, if you move in the middle of the 3 years contract, you are not allowed to continue the agreement at the new address. You need to start 3 years again or pay the whole remaining months. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND ADT.

This is mainly because ADT relies on company authorized independent dealers whose customer support agents might not be up to par with ADT’s standards. We had an ADT alarm system installed yesterday. The gentleman who installed it was very nice. I felt in no way pressured to buy more equipment. He gave me his suggestions as to what he recommended, and then ended his suggestions with “It is your home, you have the final decision.” He was very professional, took off his shoes upon entering my home, and did a very good job. He even waited until my husband got home from work to explain the system to him. I am very pleased with everything I have experienced so far and hope to stay that way.
For over two years, I paid ADT monthly for my alarm system, only to find out that they were not actually receiving signals from my home (so, in fact, the alarm system did not work). In compensation, they offered me 6 months at $15/month. Need to test your system more often people and make sure the monitoring company is calling you when the alarm gets set off regardless of what company you have; this should be done!
I know a lot of people complain about the $99 installation fee but trust me, if you have ever tried to install one for the first time...$99 is a cheap price to pay! I wish I would have paid someone to install mine for me. It was a headache to do! Anyways, I'm with ADT and it's a great system for my family. Never had a issue them and I don't have a problem with their equipment. It does the job!
At the end of the day, I believe that ADT wants to provide a good product and customer service, however, communication system is disjointed, broken and ineffective. The most disappointing thing is the fact that three different parties in different parts of their organization have gone completely cold in response to my attempts to determine how to fix my problem. I can only assume that they are completely incapable of addressing situations that are outside of the norm, especially when the issue is something that they should have informed me about before the equipment was installed. This is not only a disgrace from a customer service perspective, but completely insulting to a consumer who has a choice when selecting a home security service.
Worst service ever. Was told that I would be quoted one thing when I ended up having to spend much more. Have been trying to get reimbursed for over a month now. My bill was paid in full till the end of Sept. 2018. I called and canceled service on Sept 20, 2018 after sale of the house. Received a bill in Oct 2018 for $18.49. No detail on the bill only explanation after speaking to Scott is a charge incurred that happens because it takes a month to complete the cancellation process and that is wrote in the contract but I did not remember that being mentioned at the time service was started more than 3 yrs earlier. I was never late with a payment and there was never an alarm. So basically a person would be very wise to set up a DIY service and save a lot of money and getting taken advantage of.
Just got the service Saturday and on Tuesday canceled,why because I got lied to.seen commercial saying camera was free but when he was at my home said it’s 300 for it,when called the supervisor told my husband,when she goes to buy a new car with bells and whistles there are hidden prices that you have to pay.that did it for us thank goodness we faxed the cancellation.1/16/18
ADT’s security system provided peace of mind when I was a single parent with my two daughters. I could go to bed at night and feel that we were all very safe and well protected. The sense of security allowed me to rest each night knowing we were all protected. One of the best things in using ADT was that I never had a “false alarm” while using their services. I had heard of other services that would often give false alarms frightening everyone in the house. This never happened with ADT. When someone in the house would forget to unset the alarm and open the front door making the alarm sound, I always received a call promptly to make sure everything was okay. I was always asked for our password, also. When the responder was satisfied that all was well in my home, they never acted as if they were irritated with my own error. ADT provided great service. I am currently moving into a new home within the next two weeks and have chosen ADT again to use for my protection services.

We originally used ADT in a former home, and eventually switched to a different provider after a false alarm occurred while we were out of the country. Upon our return, ADT technicians were never able to determine the root cause of the issue. The new provider that we used wasn’t perfect either, but I felt that their customer service and the technology were far better than our collective experience with ADT.
