2 months ago my truck was broken into,my wallet swollen and my bank account drained.i will never forget the following day at work.the whole day I was worried about the thieves having my driver’s license and knowing my address.i didn’t have a security system and feared they would return and rob my home as well.with 3 children at home in couldn’t help but to be frightened and worried.as my day at work was coming to an end,all I could do was pray for some way to protect my family.i was home about 2 hrs.when there was a knock at the door. It was ADT!They explained how they were in the area selling systems and could choose 2 homes for a special promotion.they chose mine as one of those home.they did and said all the right things.i now fell my ho.e and family are so secure now.i told my family about my praying and God delivered. Thank you ADT.I would recommend them to everyone, and give them 5 stars.i am a very happy customer.
I mean what do you want from them? Ask yourselfs what do you do for a living? Ill give you a little food for thought( your a bartender/ owner you are running a special for miller light draft at 1 dollar a glass. I come in and say I want jack and coke. You charge me 5 dollars and I complain, scream whatever that it say’s 1 dollar.) Are you F*ing kidding me? READ the advertisment!
I have only good things to report about ADT: the installation was smooth and the engineer who installed it was very knowledgeable and gave me good tips about overall security. I love the features on the wireless system and thankfully nothing has happened, but I am definitely feeling safer after the system was installed. I just feel better knowing that the company that is monitoring our security is a market leader.
The Fortress S03 WiFi Alarm System offers some of the most advanced technology in the Fortress lineup. This panel can use either WiFi and an Internet connection, or a landline telephone connection to alert you of an alarm event. When used with the My Fortress app the system becomes a powerhouse of security and control features. With application control available on Android and Apple devices and optional Monitoring, this system takes security to a whole new level!
We previously had ADT and having this service provided us with a great peace of mind. We moved into a rental property approximately three years and now have no home security provider. We plan on purchasing this home and I can tell you the first thing we are going to purchase is ADT again. The only reason I gave this review a 4 star instead of 5, is because of the delay in response time when we do not respond. The Home Security Provider first calls us to confirm then calls police. By the time the police receive the alarm there is several minutes in delay. If help were needed right away, I believe it could be a little bit of a downfall – however, overall I know that my home is protected and even with a few minute delay – know that help would be on the way.
I am very upset with my ADT experience and contract. Your sales rep Daehan J gave me inadequate information regarding your ADT service and contract. I was very upfront and concerned about switching from Safenet to ADT because I was planning on moving the following year. He ASSURED me that the move of equipment, install and monitoring fees would not incur additional charges! He also did NOT disclose that there was a 36 month contract or an early termination fee. If I was properly informed of incurring additional charges for my move, I would NOT have switched security companies as my contract with Safenet was complete. In order for me to set up a new security monitoring system at my new place of residence, I received an estimate for $461. I discussed with Brad B, another sales rep of ADT corporate and he did help bring down the price but not after over 3 hours of 6 different customer services representatives. I am not pleased with your company nor ADT. Even though Daehan was working for an “authorized ADT dealer”, he is still representing the ADT BRAND.

ADT is one of the most trusted home security companies in the U.S., with over 140 years of experience. Its home security systems can be monitored via the app, and are fully customizable, featuring a variety of different options besides burglary protection, such as flood detection, and smoke and heat sensors. ADT Monitored systems can be controlled remotely via the ADT Pulse (R) app.

I use ADT in all of my tenants homes and they like it. I have a influx of new tenants constantly so each time that happens I change the alarm code and make them a new user login on the ADT pulse app. I realize most people won't need to do all of this extra work when it is just them using it. If it can hold up in rentals it is definitely a worth-while security system!
Of all the DIY systems we looked at, Abode’s free self-monitoring plan packs the most punch. With no subscription whatsoever, you can use every feature available on the mobile app (which includes options like push notifications, a live surveillance feed, and system controls) and you get access to three days’ worth of system activity, like when a particular door was opened or a particular motion sensor was triggered. If you want to bump that history up to two weeks, the Connect plan costs $10 per month. And for $30 per month, you get a 90-day timeline plus professional monitoring.
1 week ago I agreed on the price I would pay monthly for the alarm service with ADT. The installer came today and the prices of what we had talked on the phone were very, very different, but the surprise was that when the installer came to my house she began to uninstall the existing alarm system and after all that she tells me that the price was different from the one I had agreed on by phone so therefore I canceled the service and had the old alarm system reconnected
Check to see how long you’re signing the contract for – these tend to be three- or five-year periods. Also take some time to understand whether there are any penalties if you want to leave the contract sooner and if the fees can rise during the contract time frame. Be sure to check what equipment you’re allowed to keep once the contract has expired.

To make sure you’re getting the best-value system for your money get quotes from up to 5 companies first. Ask each of them to do a risk assessment on your property to see what areas of security need addressing and why. This on-site inspection should be free of charge. Never accept a company who says they don’t need to visit your property to do an inspection.

When we purchased our system it was for peace of mind for our home. Never would we have thought that it would be what saves our daughter. Thanks to ADT when her ex-boyfriend came through the front door they alerted the police of the intruder alert and just almost a mins after police showed and he was found trying to kidnapp my daughter. The quick response of alerting the police is what makes me stay and will forever be a ADT customer. Forever grateful.
Bad customer service. Be careful when you sign the contract with this company. It’s a bait, always overcharge. You want to cancel! No way! You will pay for the cancel fee. A lot money. I will tell to all my friends, my family friend and the world. Don’t trust and don’t use this company. I’m sure I will never stay with this company after my contract. Liar and cheaters!
The outside camera is hit or miss and has been since the system was installed. Overall, I'd say it works about 75 percent of the time. ADT has been out twice to fix it with neither visit making any difference. While it has a nice wow factor, the camera isn't really a lynchpin of the system, so I'm not overly concerned with it. Still, it is a primary component and you're paying for it, so overall it could use improvement.

GetSafe offers excellent customer support both during and after the purchasing process. Customer reviews note that customer service reps are helpful when explaining products and packages, as well as quick to troubleshoot equipment issues. Along with great service, SimpliSafe also includes regular software updates and enhancements, so you can rest easy knowing your equipment is up to date.
New service phone calls to the company may result in a transfer to a company known as Protection 1. Earlier in 2016, ADT announced its acquisition by asset management company Apollo which also owns Protection 1. The two companies, in essence, are now “merged”. Protection 1 serves customers out of ADT’s service region, and vice versa. However, ADT may not mention this relationship before transferring you.
There are several steps you can take to make sure your home security system is safe from malicious cyber intruders. For starters, replace the system's default password with a unique one that contains a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. If possible, change your password from time to time. Additionally, make sure your home network is secure. Check the security settings on your wireless router, and consider models that add an extra layer of software protection, like the Bitdefender Box 2.

To protect your privacy, Zmodo apps and 720p Wireless IP Camera devices connect to the Zmodo servers using bank-level AES 256-bit encryption and Transport Layer Security (TLS). All video and pictures are secured with AES 256-bit symmetric-key encryption. Only the customer can decrypt and view the video through approved clients (our mobile and web apps) with their account credentials. The Zmodo 720p Wireless IP Camera also has perfect forward secrecy, using AES 256-bit private keys for key exchange with the Zmodo servers. We also employ other security measures to protect private data, such as secure HTTP access (HTTPS) using TLS/SSL, and more.
Although we always recommend choosing a professionally monitored home security system, we understand that isn’t the right choice for everyone. If you’d rather handle the installation and monitoring on your own, consider one of these DIY alarm systems. And for more ideas about how you can protect your home yourself, check out our article with DIY home security tips.
Regardless of if you choose a month-to-month professional monitoring plan or opt to self-monitor your home, SimpliSafe requires you to purchase its equipment upfront. Though it’s less expensive than our other picks, packages start at a couple hundred dollars and go up from there. On the plus side, purchasing your equipment upfront does give you the flexibility to move or cancel your system at any time.
The Canopy Mobile Panic service will work differently with different products. If you pair the service with a Ring Doorbell, you will still be responsible for monitoring the device, but will have ADT’s support. For example, let’s say someone rings your Ring. You check out the event, you don’t like what you see, you press the panic button, and ADT will call the police on your behalf. If you connect the Panic Response Service to your Samsung Gear S Smartwatch, you can use the watch app to press a panic button at any time to be connected to the ADT monitoring center.
My husband and I recently had a security system and carbon monoxide monitoring system installed in our home in Radnor Township. We cannot speak more highly of the customer service we received from our technician, David, and how easily the entire process of receiving the install was. From the initial phone call to having David explain how to set the alarm, everything was conducted professionally and with the utmost attention paid to having us both understand the system. We wanted an excellent security system for peace of mind and we can, without a doubt, say that our minds are entirely at peace! Many thanks ADT!

Frontpoint requires a big commitment after its 30-day trial: a 36-month contract. If within three years, your housing situation or security priorities change, it could cost 80% of your remaining contract to cancel. However, Frontpoint also makes a big commitment to you. Its equipment comes with a matching three-year warranty, while the rest of the DIY industry caps at one year.

Thanks to our state-or-the-art home security systems, we are able to calibrate our equipment to better fit your needs. During installation, our professional technicians will provide information about our home security systems to ensure you get the best equipment for your home.

We had the worst time when we moved. It's a really long story, but the cliff notes version is that they said it would be an easy transfer and offered approx $400 worth in services. The control box and the keypad device both came with nearly dead batteries. 2 separate occasions they started beeping in the middle of the night. ADT told us to go to Radio Shack to get the batteries....we went there, Amazon, ebay, etc. and no one sold them. The system couldn't be accessed on our phones either. The device kept making us test and re-test and still wouldn't work properly. We had 3 technician visits and 6 months with a system that wouldn't work. They won't let us cancel. We're stuck in a 2 year... Read More

In my time with the system, the big winners so far are ADT's Pulse software, the IP video cameras, and some third-party add-ons, namely the Nest Thermostat and the Ring Video Doorbell. I say big winners because these are the components I use daily—the house hasn't burned, been burgled, or flooded, so I haven't much needed many of the other components, but I'm glad they're there.
When it comes to home security I'm a basic kind of guy. I just want it to know if someone breaks in my house so I can have my gun ready and protect my family. I use ADT, it seems the most logical and they have treated me great. I moved once with them which cost a little money but they installed the new Pulse system at my new place since I was due for an upgrade to cellular anyways. I don't do the cameras etc. but I do turn it on and off from my phone and that is easy with their ADT app.
There are two types of glass break sensors: shock sensors and acoustic sensors. Shock sensors detect vibrations when glass breaks or shatters, while acoustic sensors are designed to detect the exact sound waves of breaking glass. Both are efficient, but the acoustic sensors can monitor a wider area, such as large bay windows or sliding glass doors.
